What is a "short URL" and why would I want to use one?

The short URL service creates very short URLs (also known as 'web addresses' or 'links') to use in place of a longer URL. Shorter URLs are useful when sharing projects via Twitter, which limits each post to a maximum number of characters. Using short URLs in projects, emails, etc. can help cut down on the appearance of clutter.

Enable the option to easily use short URLs to share your projects by:

1. Click on your name in the upper-right corner of any page.
2. Select Account Settings:                   
3. Change the Use a short URL when sharing projects setting from "No Preference" to "Yes".
4. Click the Save button toward the lower-left of the page.
   
   

Now you see a short URL option after hosting a project.
